Additional funding for primary school sport is making a positive impact. There has been an increase in the number of sports clubs and involvement in competitions with local schools.

Extra-curricular

We have significantly increased clubs in the last two years. After school clubs finish at 4.15pm (unless stated). Clubs are subsidised by Sport Premium funding, and cost £1.50 per week, payable in advance on ParentPay. Sign up using ParentPay if you would like to join any of the clubs. We reserve some spaces for children in every club that are selected by school staff, and financial support is available for these families - we will contact you individually if this is the case.

Clubs are fun and are aimed at all abilities. We also compete in leagues, cups and competitions, and have had significant recent successes in these. In 2018-19, our football team won the league and other cups, and progressed nationally in a competition that came within 2 games of the national final at Wembley. The Netball team also saw success, progressing to the regional finals after finishing runners-up in their league. Dance competitions were also won by Y2, as well as KS2 Athletics.

Every day, we run Change4Life activities at lunchtimes, with trained older pupils acting as Play Leaders, supervised by other trained staff.

Mr Webster (Sports Coach) also runs activities every break time and lunchtime.

We also have peripatetic music teachers who run group or individual classes for e.g. violin. There is a cost for this tuition - please speak to the office, including enquiries about any other instruments, as these may be possible if there is enough demand.

Clubs change every term so that a full range is covered over the year. Autumn 2019 clubs are:
