The school day/timings
Doors open: 8.35am for Infant classes (YR/Y1/Y2)
8.40am for Junior classes (Y3-Y6)
School day: 8.45am - 3.15pm for Infants
8.45am - 3.20pm for KS2
Breakfast Club: 7.30am - 8.45am
After School Club: 3.15pm - 5.45pm
(This totals 32 hours and 30 minutes for Infants, and 32 hours and 55 minutes for Juniors).
There is no supervision before 8.35am on the yard so children should not arrive before this time, unless in Breakfast Club (no booking required). The doors close at 8.45am, which is when school officially starts, so children need to arrive at 8.35am/8.40am to be ready to learn at 8.45am. After 8.45am, children need to enter via the school office.
At home time we only release children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 to a known adult. High school-aged children should not collect EYFS and KS1 children. When children enter KS2, they are allowed to walk to and from school on their own with parental consent.
Collective Worship takes place on Monday (Rev'd Andy/senior leaders) and Tuesday (Senior Leaders) from 8.50-9.10am (KS2) and 2.00pm-2.15pm (Infants). On Wednesday we alternate Picture News and class-based worship/reflection; Thursday is Singing Worship at 2pm. On Friday, the Infants have Celebration Worship at 8.50am, and KS2 have theirs at 2.45pm. Parents are invited by Class Dojo to these if their child has received an award.
LUNCH TIME
Lunch time is from 11.45am to 12.45pm for EYFS; Key Stage 1 have theirs from 11.50am-12.50pm, and KS2 from 12.10pm to 1.00pm. Children may bring a healthy packed lunch and a drink in a carton, or order our own freshly cooked school dinners. Children may eat a healthy snack at play time (no chocolate, cereal bars – high sugar content - or crisps; fruit, yoghurt tubes and cheese are allowed). All infant (YR-Y2) pupils are entitled to a free school hot dinner (details available from the school office). No sweets, chocolate or fizzy drinks are allowed in school. We have lunch time play leaders who organise different games for the children to play each day. All pupils have a morning break, and infant classes have an afternoon break. EYFS pupils have frequent outdoor provision throughout the day outside of these break times.
